I was looking at ovens in The Good Guys today and looked at the one equivalent to what we had in Gateshead. On special, it was priced at $1124 (NOT its RRP).
The reason we got this oven at the time was that it had a grill and at the time, we were changing from having an upright stove to having separate units so we couldn't imagine not having a grill. Unfortunately the main thing we found we used it for was to cook grilled cheese on toast!
Fast forward back to my shopping trip today, when I looked at the equivalent WITHOUT a grill, it was $613. I reckon you would have to eat a LOT of grilled cheese to make this oven worthwhile in our house these days!
